About

I’m a fun and energetic 20-year-old. I’m trained in the classical portraits aspect of photography, but that doesn’t mean that I follow the rules (not all the time.) I love to explore new places and am always up for an adventure. I am a workaholic, and a little bit of a control freak (not to the point as where it’s annoying, of course). I’m that chick that carries her camera everywhere she goes (almost). My little cousins still think I’m cool, because they finally know “someone famous”.I have a very active mind and imagination, I’m always thinking of new places to go and have you pose. I break and bend the rules on a regular bases, because I want to give you the most unique experience that you will ever have. I’m also very talkative and love to tell jokes to make you smile and feel comfortable in front of the camera. That is my main goal, to make the client feel comfortable in front of the camera. My biggest pet peeve are fake smiles in photographs, and I don’t want you to have any of those. There is nothing that I enjoy more then capturing your special moments and making them last forever.

I find it better to show my true self to clients, as to make them feel more comfortable around me. I won’t put on a fake anything for my clients, it’s just not my style. I say what I feel and I mean what I say. So if it helps, I will list my flaws for you.

  • I am like I type. Grammaticality incorrect, and I’m long winded. You can tell me to be quiet if I’m talking to much, it’s ok, I get it a lot. Oh and you can correct my grammar, too. People do that a lot also.
  • I have a bad habit of cracking my knuckles.
  • I twirl my hair when I’m nervous.
  • I’m a bit of a control freak, but that is because I want your pictures to be perfect.
  • I write down everything. My parents once told me to be a journalist, because it’s rare that I miss details.
  • I drive like a crazy person. People that have rode with me know this.
  • I misspell a lot of things.
  • I talk a lot when I’m nervous and I sound like a chipmunk and helium.
  • I’m kind of short, only 5’3. That is why my assistant is 6’1, so I can sometimes sit on his shoulders to get cool looking angles.

Those are my flaws, now I hope that you feel a little bit more at ease. I don’t judge people from the first time I meant them, it’s just not right. I will not stand behind the camera and pick you apart, that is not my job. My job is to have you look just as beautiful in a picture, as you do in real life. Oh and with that said, let me say this, “Everyone is beautiful, from the inside out.”

Here is a list of things that I’m doing now (career and school wise):

  • I’m going to Muskegon Community College, for another year or so. Then after that I will transfer to Kendall College of Art & Design to finish my schooling.
  • I’m going for a double major: Photography and Art History.
  • I will graduate, tentatively, in 2014. That is when I will start a career here, and then move out to L.A. to start a full career. Both as an Art Historian and a professional photographer.

Hope that helps, and wasn’t to painful to read. I feel like every photographer goes through that. “The Bio” page. It gets kind of annoying how almost everyone of them is the same. Sorry, little sidenote there.

To put it in a simple list…

  • I love old building
  • Doorways
  • Anything that has rust and amazing colors to it (A photographers dream.)
  • Foliage (It’s Michigan, you have to have some pictures outdoors and away from the city.)
  • Fields at sunset and sunrise (You get the most gorgeous light)
  • The beach
  • Candle light
  • Sunsets

And really anything thing else that my clients come up with. I love it when clients look for locations also.
